Preventive Dentistry
Did you know that the best cure is prevention? Nothing is better than the teeth we were born with and so we must take the proper measures to keep our teeth healthy. In addition to warding off decay, you will cut down your dental expenses and keep your family happy. There is no magic formula to avoiding dental problems, but this is the most recent recommendation by the ADA.
-
Visit the dentist regularly (six months to 1 year) for a thorough exam, cleaning, xrays and if needed fluoride.
-
Develop a personalized oral health plan. Personalized health care is a necessity that identifies potential risk factors. Factors like smoking, diabetes, high blood pressure, and preexisting gum problems need more frequent follow up visits to enhance the outcomes of preventive care.
Pediatric Dentistry
Pediatric dentistry focuses on your child’s oral health care - for life. The American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry emphasizes the importance of starting good oral habits in infancy to keep healthy teeth into adulthood. The first examination is recommended as soon as the first baby tooth erupts and no later than the infant’s first birthday. Early detection of potential oral conditions such as crowding, cavities, and impacted extra teeth improve your child’s overall general health and school readiness. Good dental health begins with proper nutrition, regular brushing and flossing, the right amount of fluoride, and timely clinical exams.
Fillings
Tooth colored fillings give your tooth a natural and healthy appearance. White resin bonding is most commonly used to fix cavities, cracks, and replace silver fillings. Over time, silver (amalgam) fillings turn the tooth black as they corrode. Resin bonding will enhance the aesthetics of your smile. Bonding will correct cracks or gaps in teeth or even cover up stains in intrinsically discolored teeth. We use the latest materials and technology, so the bonded tooth will be almost as strong as your natural tooth.
Crowns & Bridges
In the past, crowns and bridges made of porcelain cracked over time. With newer materials such as zirconia, your new crown or bridge cannot shatter like porcelain fused to metal crowns. We are so confident that we can fix your cracked tooth that we will make a new crown at no cost if your crown breaks within 7 years.
Extractions
Although we do our best to save your tooth, some teeth are necessary to remove. Before resorting to pulling a tooth, you will be given all possible alternatives. Our highest priority is your comfort and you will find the extraction procedure overall painless and easy to manage. When consulting on wisdom teeth removal, we will take a panoramic and CBCT x-ray and discuss potential risks such as paresthesia. Our surgical method has reduced the amount of pain and swelling patients feel after surgery. We work with all insurances.
Root Canal Therapy
Cavities, trauma and micro fractures may irritate the nerve of the tooth. When pulpitis begins, you will feel intense, spontaneous, throbbing pain that gets worse at night. This type of pain is very severe and can only be fixed by root canal treatment or removal of the tooth. Our dentists will examine the area and determine whether it is best to save the tooth or not. It is best to see a dentist as soon as you experience any pain because waiting can make the tooth condition worse and difficult to save.
Gum Disease Therapy
Did you know that having gum disease doubles your risk of heart disease? Heart disease is the top deadliest disease in the United States. As many as 800,000 Americans die from CAD related disease every year. Gum disease, known as periodontitis affects 47.2% of all Americans - that is 64,000,000 people. This means that 1 in 2 Americans have periodontal disease, and they are all at increased risk for getting heart disease. Luckily, gum disease is reversible. The bacteria causing destructive gum disease in your mouth is easily managed with use of a Er:Cr;YSGG Laser. Studies show that this is one of the most effective lasers on the market to kill those microbes and give superior results than a deep cleaning alone. We want you to keep your teeth for your lifetime, so make sure visit us today!
Invisalign
Invisalign® clear aligners will give you beautifully straight teeth without the unappealing look of braces. The trays are custom-made for you and virtually invisible. You will wear each aligner out of a predetermined series for 1-2 weeks. The aligners are engineered to shift, rotate, and push the teeth with the right amount of force to the right place. Only Invisalign clear aligners are made of proprietary, multilayer SmartTrack® material to gently shift your teeth into place.
Teeth Whitening
Who doesn't want white teeth? Teeth whitening has become one of the first requests that dental patients have when visiting their dentist. Whitening is defined as any process that can make teeth appear whiter, and most of whitening is accomplished through a product that causes an intrinsic change to the tooth enamel, rather than surface stain removal.
The best results are achieved with a combination of laser whitening and regular home maintenance with provided bleaching trays. We are proud to provide this service with one of the newest whitening lasers that whiten teeth in under 30 minutes!
